Garcia Dominates Redkach in Decision | FIGHT SPORTS
It was far from the most impressive performance from Danny Garcia, but he was able to pull out a one-sided, unanimous decision win over Ivan Redkach.
The WBC welterweight title eliminator headlined a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
While Redkach worked Garcia's body well in the opening frame, that also saw Garcia land several counterpunches that seemed to take Redkach back and set the tone for the night. Redkach kept up with Garcia's pace, but Garcia simply began to land at will in the fourth round.
Garcia's counter strikes and bodywork were overwhelming Redkach over the next couple of rounds. Garcia tagged Redkach hard a couple of times in the seventh, but he was unable to rock Redkach enough to stop the fight.
The eighth round saw the fight's most controversial moment, with Redkach biting Garcia on the shoulder.

Redkach, following that incident, could do nothing more as he was battered and overwhelmed by Garcia.
It wasn't the prettiest outing from Garcia, nor the most exciting fight, but he scored the decision win with scores of 118-110, 117-111, 117-111.
The card also featured Jarrett Hurd defeat Francisco Santana in his first outing since losing the WBA and IBF super welterweight titles and Stephen Fulton edge out Arnold Khegai in a WBO super bantamweight title eliminator.
